After having played for 28 minutes, Turan Nurettin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Turan Nurettin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Birkan Haspolatlı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Varto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şimşek Mengü to maneuver through the defense. If Turan Nurettin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. İskender Baki Çapan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Turan Nurettin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Birkan Haspolatlı was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Birkan Haspolatlı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Turan Nurettin in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of ZEYTiNBURNU booed when Varto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aytunç Sadir didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute of the match, Turan Nurettin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Birkan Haspolatlı saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 81st play minute İskender Baki Çapan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Birkan Haspolatlı. 0-3. Turan Nurettin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birkan Haspolatlı having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, ZEYTiNBURNU's goal looked a bit too open when Turan Nurettin came free, but Birkan Haspolatlı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. İskender Baki Çapan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Birkan Haspolatlı made a huge save. Varto's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
