The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Burç Ongunalp made the kick off in the second half. Ecevit Berat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rıfkı Umurbay in the 59th minute of play. Muhittin Koçak missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 62 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ecevit Berat right hand side. After a rather tough play, 1930 Bafraspor's Reşat Uluman got a free kick in the 66th minute. Yaşar Nuri Mertkal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 77 minutes, Rıfkı Umurbay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yomra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rıfkı Umurbay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Yaşar Nuri Mertkal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecevit Berat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yaşar Nuri Mertkal's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Ecevit Berat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yaşar Nuri Mertkal, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. If Burç Ongunalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
