Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Turan Nurettin took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 played minutes Yomra got a freekick which was hit by Muhittin Koçak. When İskender Baki Çapan came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Varto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İskender Baki Çapan couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Yomra booed when Varto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yücel Laçin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Yomra's Çağatay Hasanbeyli ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hakkı Devrim İpekçi. Hakkı Devrim İpekçi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Erdi Acarbay took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hakkı Devrim İpekçi. Varto's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aytunç Sadir hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After having played for 20 minutes, Yaşar Nuri Mertkal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yomra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yaşar Nuri Mertkal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute Yaşar Nuri Mertkal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hakkı Devrim İpekçi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sarp Mehmet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İskender Baki Çapan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Turan Nurettin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Turan Nurettin in the 30th minute of play forced Yomra's goalkeeper Sarp Mehmet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Varto getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Aytunç Sadir hit a great ball. Mehmet Fatih Belen charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mehmet Fatih Belen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mehmet Fatih Belen hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Sarp Mehmet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Fatih Belen in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yomra's goalkeeper Sarp Mehmet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. İskender Baki Çapan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Rıfkı Umurbay put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hakkı Devrim İpekçi. A collision led to Yomra getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Sarper Sarıkaya hit a great ball. When Aytunç Sadir came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Varto fans jumped to their feet. Hakkı Devrim İpekçi came out of the goal and Rıfkı Umurbay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Yaşar Nuri Mertkal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hakkı Devrim İpekçi was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Mehmet Fatih Belen hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Hakkı Devrim İpekçi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rıfkı Umurbay, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Sarper Sarıkaya was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 92 minutes into the match. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Yomra! Yomra:s Sarp Mehmet showed great skill when he stopped Tayyar Ceberut:s penalty. If İskender Baki Çapan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yomra's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
