After 6 minutes of play, Ilgin's Aziz Taybars made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oğuzer Siralp was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Egemen Dilan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Umur Tuğalp came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Lemniskat SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umur Tuğalp couldn't finish the play. Namık Kemal Tulum kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Süreyya Işınay during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Ilgin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Süreyya Işınay to maneuver through the defense. Lemniskat SK's Hacı Koçyiğit couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ilgin. Ekber Demirkan kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute of the match Ahmet Davut Erandaç sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tanju Cebir skillfully saved the ball. After 34 played minutes Ilgin got a freekick which was hit by Süreyya Işınay. When Şeref Turkay fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ilgin's protests and gave Şeref Turkay a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ilgin's Şeref Turkay got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Sarper Saatçioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th match minute, Ilgin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taci Hazer to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Ilgin were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd match minute, Ilgin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egemen Dilan to maneuver through the defense. Oğuzer Siralp came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Ilgin's Namık Kemal Tulum. But to his dismay, Namık Kemal Tulum quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Aziz Taybars came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Ilgin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aziz Taybars couldn't finish the play. Ilgin's Aziz Taybars got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Ilgin's Namık Kemal Tulum sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oğuzer Siralp narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ahmet Davut Erandaç kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 67 played minutes Lemniskat SK got a freekick which was hit by Umur Tuğalp. After a defensive mix-up in Ilgin's zone, Sarper Saatçioğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tanju Cebir came out of the goal and Sarper Saatçioğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Umur Tuğalp put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tanju Cebir. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Aziz Taybars managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ilgin's supporters rose to their feet, but Aziz Taybars was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oğuzer Siralp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 85 minutes, Egemen Dilan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilgin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egemen Dilan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute of the match, Şeref Turkay tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Oğuzer Siralp saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Aziz Taybars's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oğuzer Siralp was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Egemen Dilan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oğuzer Siralp having to interfere. Ilgin's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
