Egemen Dilan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naim Zoral having to interfere. Aziz Taybars sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Kıvanç Orkutay fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amasyaspor's protests and gave Kıvanç Orkutay a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute, Kıvanç Orkutay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tarkan Zihni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Tanju Cebir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Naim Zoral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aziz Taybars in the 45th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mutlu Yabgu was the one to do the kick off. Aybars Uruç hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Egemen Dilan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Aytaç Ersed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tanju Cebir didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aytaç Ersed went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Mutlu Yabgu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egemen Dilan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kıvanç Orkutay hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Tanju Cebir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kıvanç Orkutay in the 80th minute of the match. Taha Tokuzer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Naim Zoral. Amasyaspor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tanju Cebir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mutlu Yabgu, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Tanju Cebir came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Amasyaspor's Mutlu Yabgu. But to his dismay, Mutlu Yabgu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Kıvanç Orkutay hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the game, Aybars Uruç was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Amasyaspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ilgin the free kick. Naim Zoral came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Ilgin's Aziz Taybars. But to his dismay, Aziz Taybars quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Amasyaspor's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
