But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serhan Bayraktaroğlu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Hayri Yumlu in the 19th minute of play forced HATAY FB's goalkeeper Aykan Atay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hami Uzman hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Ahmet Hayri Yumlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aykan Atay having to interfere. The Erzincan Tercan Spor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. HATAY FB were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cabbar Cengaver stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
