Erdi Kocakalp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tansu Karabulut in the 14th minute of play forced Balıkesir 1966's goalkeeper Erdi Kocakalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erdi Kocakalp came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Doganyol's Hamdi Kılıçhan. But to his dismay, Hamdi Kılıçhan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Hamdi Kılıçhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erdi Kocakalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tansu Karabulut in the 25th minute of the match. Abdurrezzak Işıker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fazıl Cenap having to interfere. The supporters of Balıkesir 1966 booed when Doganyol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Edip Hacı didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Tansu Karabulut's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erdi Kocakalp was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Fazıl Cenap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdurrezzak Işıker in the 39th minute of the match.
