After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Aykan Talha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yeşilhisar 1997 SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Aykan Talha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erdi Kocakalp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erdi Kocakalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serhan Şükür in the 4th minute of play. Abdurrezzak Işıker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Balıkesir 1966's Abdurrezzak Işıker got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute Kahraman Hafızoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Çelebi Erdönmez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kahraman Hafızoğlu in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arif Çelebi Erdönmez saved Yeşilhisar 1997 SK from getting behind. If Abdurrezzak Işıker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arif Çelebi Erdönmez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kahraman Hafızoğlu in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Balıkesir 1966's Altay Kınık got a free kick in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, Yeşilhisar 1997 SK's Gafur Ersal got a free kick in the 32nd minute. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Balıkesir 1966 reached it. İsmail Orhun Cebel charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed İsmail Orhun Cebel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th minute, İsmail Orhun Cebel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kahraman Hafızoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Çelebi Erdönmez having to interfere. The Yeşilhisar 1997 SK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Balıkesir 1966 were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Serhan Şükür to strike the kick off in the second half. Serhan Şükür recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 55 minutes, Abdurrezzak Işıker made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Yeşilhisar 1997 SK's Arif Çelebi Erdönmez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Abdurrezzak Işıkers short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Arif Çelebi Erdönmez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 62 played minutes Yeşilhisar 1997 SK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Hamdi Balatürk. Gafur Ersal hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Ceyhun Özgurel struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Arif Çelebi Erdönmez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balıkesir 1966. Kahraman Hafızoğlu came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arif Çelebi Erdönmez could save by the left post. Abdurrezzak Işıker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Çelebi Erdönmez having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Abdurrezzak Işıker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Balıkesir 1966's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yeşilhisar 1997 SK the free kick. Kahraman Hafızoğlu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Arif Çelebi Erdönmez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Arif Çelebi Erdönmez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdurrezzak Işıker, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Kahraman Hafızoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Balıkesir 1966's goal looked a bit too open when Serhan Şükür came free, but Erdi Kocakalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Balıkesir 1966 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
