If Dinçer Gülerce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dinçer Gülerce could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Bayezit Yankı made a huge save. If Peyami Revha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Cide's Ahmet Ali Özbil got a free kick in the 20th minute. Bulut Kabakçı charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bulut Kabakçı the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sefaköy SK booed when Cide was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bulut Kabakçı didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Arif Ensar Ünüvar fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cide's protests and gave Arif Ensar Ünüvar a yellow card for diving instead. 28 minutes into the match, Cide's goal looked a bit too open when Peyami Revha came free, but Bekir Necati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Haşmet Toktuğ managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sefaköy SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Haşmet Toktuğ was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With a little luck, Sefaköy SK's Bayezit Yankı got control of the ball when Cabbar Ruhsat tried to sneak it across the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Sefaköy SK's goalkeeper Bayezit Yankı had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bayram Ongun. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinçer Gülerce in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bayezit Yankı prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 43 minutes, Arif Ensar Ünüvar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cide's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arif Ensar Ünüvar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haşmet Toktuğ was the one to do the kick off. When Arif Ensar Ünüvar was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 52 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Cide's Arif Ensar Ünüvar got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Ahmet Ali Özbil struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Bayezit Yankı didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cide. Dinçer Gülerce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Bayezit Yankı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Seyfullah Şener sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ahmet Ali Özbil came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Cide fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Ali Özbil couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Cide getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ahmet Ali Özbil hit a great ball. Sefaköy SK succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Cide had controlled the match.
