Lefter İltay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cüneyd Keykavus having to interfere. Sermet Eryilmaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. İzzet Ozanalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kağan Birsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. İzzet Ozanalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sermet Eryilmaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Fethi Bayrak hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. İzzet Ozanalp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kağan Birsen went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. İzzet Ozanalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sermet Eryilmaz in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Kağan Birsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cumali Keykubad struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Cüneyd Keykavus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GALATASARAY SK. After 32 played minutes Karakocan got a freekick which was hit by Birol Yolaç. 33 minutes into the match, Lefter İltay notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Karakocan's Cüneyd Keykavus. Cüneyd Keykavus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to GALATASARAY SK getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Fethi Bayrak hit a great ball. If Kağan Birsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Karakocan's Kağan Birsen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that İzzet Ozanalp narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 45 minutes into the game, Karakocan's Kağan Birsen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. İzzet Ozanalp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After the first half Karakocan were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Kağan Birsen made the kick off in the second half. İzzet Ozanalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kağan Birsen in the 52nd minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Kağan Birsen lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated İzzet Ozanalp. Kağan Birsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but İzzet Ozanalp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute of the match, Kağan Birsen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but İzzet Ozanalp saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sermet Eryilmaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY SK's goalkeeper İzzet Ozanalp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sermet Eryilmaz. The supporters of Karakocan booed when GALATASARAY SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fethi Bayrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. GALATASARAY SK's İzzet Ozanalp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save GALATASARAY SK from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kağan Birsen in the 83rd minute of play forced GALATASARAY SK's goalkeeper İzzet Ozanalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GALATASARAY SK's İzzet Ozanalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kağan Birsen in the 85th minute of play. Sermet Eryilmaz came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and İzzet Ozanalp could save by the left post. When Birol Yolaç fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karakocan's protests and gave Birol Yolaç a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of GALATASARAY SK booed when Karakocan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birol Yolaç didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karakocan's Sermet Eryilmaz got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kağan Birsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th match minute, GALATASARAY SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genco Açıkel to maneuver through the defense. İzzet Ozanalp made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Sermet Eryilmaz sent off a good shot on target. Karakocan played a much better game than GALATASARAY SK and deserved their victory. The GALATASARAY SK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
