The referee ignored Argıncıkspor's protests and gave Dündar Irmak a yellow card for diving instead. Dündar Irmak hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Babür Tacim in the 21st minute of play forced Argıncıkspor's goalkeeper Hüseyin Ozan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Emirhan Dilsaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malatyaspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argıncıkspor the free kick. 29 minutes into the game, Argıncıkspor's Doğan Cesur nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Malatyaspor's Fazıl Hüsnü Erdemer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Malatyaspor from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Okanay Kiram's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fazıl Hüsnü Erdemer was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Babür Tacim in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hüseyin Ozan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Okanay Kiram might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fazıl Hüsnü Erdemer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Okanay Kiram ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th minute, Dündar Irmak fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Fazıl Hüsnü Erdemer came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Argıncıkspor's Okanay Kiram. But to his dismay, Okanay Kiram quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by İsmail Cem İrfanoğlu in the 97th minute of play forced Argıncıkspor's goalkeeper Hüseyin Ozan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Malatyaspor fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Argıncıkspor were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
