After a rather tough play, Karaca Gençlik Spor's Cevdet Taşel got a free kick in the 6th minute. Feyzullay Uzer was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mehmet Ediz Öztürk. Fadıl Bircanoğlu hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mahir Canbek in the 11th minute of play forced Sarıkamış Gençlerbirliği's goalkeeper Cevdet Tayfun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cevdet Tayfun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hasret Keskin in the 13th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Hasret Keskin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cevdet Tayfun was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 19 minutes into the game, Mahir Canbek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cevdet Tayfun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Mahir Canbek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gürbüz Sebukalp hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After 38 played minutes, Karaca Gençlik Spor's Cevdet Taşel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cevdet Tayfun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Karaca Gençlik Spor reached it. A collision led to Sarıkamış Gençlerbirliği getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Kayacan Başaydın hit a great ball. Cevdet Tayfun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hasret Keskin, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Karaca Gençlik Spor were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hasret Keskin to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Hasret Keskin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cevdet Tayfun was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 57th match minute, Sarıkamış Gençlerbirliği was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Suat Ulucan to maneuver through the defense. Cevdet Tayfun made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Mahir Canbek sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Sarıkamış Gençlerbirliği's zone, Hasret Keskin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cevdet Tayfun came out of the goal and Hasret Keskin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gürbüz Sebukalp during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Karaca Gençlik Spor getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Gürbüz Sebukalp hit a great ball. If Hulki Salman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Hasret Keskin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cevdet Tayfun, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mahir Canbek in the 82nd minute of play forced Sarıkamış Gençlerbirliği's goalkeeper Cevdet Tayfun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hasret Keskin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Cevdet Tayfun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Sarıkamış Gençlerbirliği's Hulki Salman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Feyzullay Uzer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 89th minute Hasret Keskin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cevdet Tayfun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cevdet Tayfun made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Mahir Canbek sent off a good shot on target. Hasret Keskin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Sarıkamış Gençlerbirliği fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Karaca Gençlik Spor were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
