Yıldıray Tahsin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vacid Özberk in the 16th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Galip Sargın during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th minute, Ali Galip Sargın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet İlhan Tuluk scored 1-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Saltuk Kutalp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ahmet İlhan Tuluk might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Saltuk Kutalp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sürüc JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Çetin Baytugay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yıldıray Tahsin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Abbas Ağırtaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
