The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Güngör Karar made a precise shot to the right of Agah Işıklar. Akcakoca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Selmi Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ayvaz Sadullah having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Rafet Sarıkaya was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Akcakoca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kangal the free kick. Agah Işıklar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Güngör Karar's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. When Güngör Karar came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Kangal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Güngör Karar couldn't finish the play. When Yenal Şenol fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Akcakoca's protests and gave Yenal Şenol a yellow card for diving instead. Akcakoca's Selmi Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agah Işıklar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Güngör Ergenç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Güngör Ergenç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agah Işıklar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Akcakoca's goal looked a bit too open when Güngör Ergenç came free, but Agah Işıklar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Güngör Ergenç got free with Agah Işıklar in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Güngör Ergenç could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 100th minute of the match, but Agah Işıklar made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kangal eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
