Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Onur Ali Başesgi started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Vakfikebir's zone, Mustafa İzzet Saatçioğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ant Tolunbay came out of the goal and Mustafa İzzet Saatçioğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Onur Ali Başesgi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cevdet Tayfun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Ahmet Turan Zoral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cevdet Tayfun was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Onur Ali Başesgi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Onur Ali Başesgi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vakfikebir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarıkamış Gençlerbirliği the free kick. The supporters of Sarıkamış Gençlerbirliği booed when Vakfikebir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Onur Ali Başesgi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cevdet Tayfun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Vakfikebir's Ahmet Turan Zoral got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Onur Ali Başesgi in the 34th minute of play forced Sarıkamış Gençlerbirliği's goalkeeper Cevdet Tayfun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sarıkamış Gençlerbirliği fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 36 minutes, Vakfikebir's Ahmet Davut Refiğ got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. A collision led to Sarıkamış Gençlerbirliği getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Suat Ulucan hit a great ball. Ahmet Davut Refiğ, 48 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mustafa İzzet Saatçioğlu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Kadim Uygu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cevdet Tayfun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 57th minute, Ahmet Turan Zoral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vakfikebir fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Cevdet Tayfun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ahmet Turan Zoral went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Cevdet Tayfun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onur Ali Başesgi in the 65th minute of play. Mustafa İzzet Saatçioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cevdet Tayfun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Güntekin Karabulut during the 72nd minute. Ahmet Turan Zoral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Cevdet Tayfun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
