Reşat Yörük received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Çakabey İnan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mehmet Şefik Aldemir fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baltalimani's protests and gave Mehmet Şefik Aldemir a yellow card for diving instead. The goalkeeper, Çakabey İnan, was totally fooled by Catalcesme's Demirhan Sanbay, who 9 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Çakabey İnan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reşat Yörük, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Catalcesme's goal looked a bit too open when Ertaç Akbayrak came free, but Semi Sefer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 played minutes Catalcesme got a freekick which was hit by Ceyhan Kutay. Gani Saygın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Ertaç Akbayrak in the 28th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gani Saygın in the 31st minute of play forced Catalcesme's goalkeeper Semi Sefer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Reşat Yörük had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Semih Çelik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ertaç Akbayrak made a kick off. Semih Çelik took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Çakabey İnan. Çakabey İnan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After 62 played minutes Catalcesme got a freekick which was hit by Yücel Arıkan. 65 minutes into the match, Catalcesme's goalkeeper Semi Sefer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gani Saygın. Baltalimani's Ertaç Akbayrak got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gani Saygın could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Semi Sefer made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Catalcesme's zone, Ertaç Akbayrak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Semi Sefer came out of the goal and Ertaç Akbayrak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gani Saygın got free with Semi Sefer in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Göktan Zikri charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Göktan Zikri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Göktan Zikri kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Gani Saygın's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Semi Sefer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Gani Saygın succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 83rd playminute. Demirhan Sanbay charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Demirhan Sanbay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Catalcesme! In the 88th minute, the referee gave Baltalimani a penalty. Ali Emir Masuk looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Semi Sefer. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
