When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Ahmet Harun Keykubad put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Arif Memduh Mirza. If Ahmet Davut Baş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Harun Keykubad in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arif Memduh Mirza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Cekerek's Ahmet Harun Keykubad in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Batıhan Köklem charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Batıhan Köklem the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ahmet Harun Keykubad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arif Memduh Mirza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Arif Memduh Mirza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Harun Keykubad's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Ahmet Harun Keykubad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Memduh Mirza having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Ahmet Harun Keykubad might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arif Memduh Mirza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Harun Keykubad ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 59th minute Kuddusî Batırhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melih Kayan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vecdi Acıbadem in the 66th minute of play forced Cekerek's goalkeeper Melih Kayan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Harun Keykubad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arif Memduh Mirza was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. The audience held their breath when Olcay Orkun Aygüneş in the 91st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Melih Kayan's left hand side.
