Timur Hazer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Semail Akalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Faruk Okcun might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Timur Hazer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faruk Okcun ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Asım Arif Omay in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nurtekin Darga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Ulvi Özgebay kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nurtekin Darga. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. Kadim Karakaya hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Faruk Okcun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute.
