Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sabri Çelen kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Sabri Çelen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Güralp Peker charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Güralp Peker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, Güralp Peker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arif Cengiz Ezelhan might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mustafa Cumhur Gazel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arif Cengiz Ezelhan ran back to his position shaking his head. If Sabri Çelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mustafa Cumhur Gazel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arif Cengiz Ezelhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Maltepespor booed when GALATASARAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gökay Gemici didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arif Cengiz Ezelhan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Mustafa Cumhur Gazel made a huge save. Sabri Çelen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Cumhur Gazel having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Maltepespor's Anıl Baran Hüdayioğlu got a free kick in the 24th minute. Arif Cengiz Ezelhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Maltepespor's Sabri Çelen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mustafa Cumhur Gazel. That made the score 2-0 after 27 minutes of play. 32 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's Ahmet Harun Ufuk broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Arif Cengiz Ezelhan struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Mustafa Cumhur Gazel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maltepespor. After some careless play in the Maltepespor defense, Sabahattin Zeynel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tarkan Tacal. The Maltepespor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tarkan Tacal should have stopped the shot. If Orçun Soysal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Orçun Soysal made the kick off in the second half. Tarkan Tacal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orçun Soysal, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Maltepespor getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Oğuzcan Ersezer hit a great ball. Tarkan Tacal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orçun Soysal in the 61st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmet Bülent Savni during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sabahattin Zeynel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Tarkan Tacal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Maltepespor's Güneş Umurbay got a free kick in the 77th minute. After having played for 80 minutes, Orçun Soysal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GALATASARAY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orçun Soysal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Maltepespor's Anıl Baran Hüdayioğlu got a free kick in the 85th minute. With a little luck, Maltepespor's Tarkan Tacal got control of the ball when Sabahattin Zeynel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 91st minute, Sabri Çelen made a precise shot to the right of Mustafa Cumhur Gazel. GALATASARAY's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Orçun Soysal charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orçun Soysal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Tarkan Tacal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Maltepespor fans cheered their team off the field, for while GALATASARAY had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
