In the 7th minute of the match GALATASARAY got a corner. Kapadokya's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ahmet Harun Ufuk ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ahmet Harun Ufuk got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erhan Vahit quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Abdulhamit Alpaslan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Mustafa Cumhur Gazel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Güralp Peker fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GALATASARAY's protests and gave Güralp Peker a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Güralp Peker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kapadokya's Abdurrezzak Kural suffered a concussion in the 30th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Orçun Soysal charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orçun Soysal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Orçun Soysal hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Şevket Baykutay kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Sabahattin Zeynel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erhan Vahit was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. GALATASARAY's Sabahattin Zeynel got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orçun Soysal was the one to do the kick off. Kapadokya's Mustafa Hamit Gurbet got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kapadokya! Kapadokya's Erhan Vahit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orçun Soysal in the 64th minute of play. Sabahattin Zeynel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Erhan Vahit made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Sabahattin Zeynel sent off a good shot on target. When Alparslan Hafi fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kapadokya's protests and gave Alparslan Hafi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Kapadokya getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Alparslan Hafi hit a great ball. Numan Erez hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Orçun Soysal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Gökay Gemici got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 85th minute, Sabahattin Zeynel fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Erhan Vahit, passed just outside the right post. Orçun Soysal struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Erhan Vahit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GALATASARAY. If Orçun Soysal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sabahattin Zeynel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. GALATASARAY's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
