Without hesitation aimed to the right of Naim Hirfanlı, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Tamer Rafiz put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Naim Hirfanlı. Naim Hirfanlı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tamer Rafiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Necdet İlsu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Demir Şahinalp went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tamer Rafiz in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Naim Hirfanlı saved Kula from getting behind. Sefa Kolçak scored 2-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Naim Hirfanlı, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Naim Hirfanlı managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Sskısparta's Tamer Rafiz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Sskısparta:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kula:s goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Demir Şahinalp to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Gencal Kuntman took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Ahmet Necdet İlsu to make any attempt to save it. In the 56th minute, Türker Şahbey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute of the match Hikmet Remiz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Naim Hirfanlı skillfully saved the ball. In the 63rd minute Demir Şahinalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Necdet İlsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Haydar Hizanlı hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demir Şahinalp in the 73rd minute of play forced Sskısparta's goalkeeper Ahmet Necdet İlsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmet Necdet İlsu made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Gencal Kuntman sent off a good shot on target. Türker Şahbey received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ahmet Necdet İlsu came out and tried to block the shot, but Türker Şahbey slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 76th minute. Hikmet Remiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naim Hirfanlı having to interfere. Ahmet Necdet İlsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demir Şahinalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 87 played minutes, Sskısparta's Karadeniz Toran shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Naim Hirfanlı came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sskısparta reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Kula's zone, Hikmet Remiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naim Hirfanlı came out of the goal and Hikmet Remiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Naim Hirfanlı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tamer Rafiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Kula players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
