The supporters of Messina booed when Beylerbeyi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Ege Cihaner didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Beylerbeyi supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Messina's performance. The match ended with a win for Messina.
