The supporters of Full Power booed when Messina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sefa Günsel didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the game, Beyhan Balkır was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Enver İlgi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arkın İzgi, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Messina's Enver İlgi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baransel Taşkesen in the 76th minute of play. Mithat Akşit's late challenge caught a Messina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mithat Akşit helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th minute, one of Full Power:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Full Power. Emir Çakır went to the wrong direction when Bircan Okutan was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Enver İlgi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baransel Taşkesen in the 97th minute of play. Messina's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Full Power had won, even though Messina had held more of the ball.
