After some careless play in the Saskinbakkal defense, Başar Yay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tayfur Soysaltürk. The Saskinbakkal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tayfur Soysaltürk should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Kalamis booed when Saskinbakkal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Lixandro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Saip Bengisoy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tayyar Hızlı. Kalamis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saip Bengisoy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Saskinbakkal's Tayfur Soysaltürk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Başar Yay in the 27th minute of play. Ali Macit Geylan hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Tayfur Soysaltürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Başar Yay in the 31st minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Saskinbakkal's goal looked a bit too open when Başar Yay came free, but Tayfur Soysaltürk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Akil Çakır recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

In the 56th minute, one of Kalamis:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kalamis. Başar Yay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tayfur Soysaltürk having to make a save. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Saskinbakkal's goalkeeper Tayfur Soysaltürk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Başar Yay received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tayfur Soysaltürk came out and tried to block the shot, but Başar Yay slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 67th minute.
