Wahsetspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Besiktas JK the free kick. After 2 played minutes Wahsetspor got a freekick which was hit by Ali Orhan Saylan. In the 4thth minute of the game Mustafa Numan Ulutay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wahsetspor's Gökmen Tüzün was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yaşar Nuri Talha got free with Birdal Yöner in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 7 minutes into the match, Yaşar Nuri Talha notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Besiktas JK's Birdal Yöner. Birdal Yöner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ali Orhan Saylan was shown his second yellow card after 9 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Wahsetspor getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ali Orhan Saylan hit a great ball. Gökmen Tüzün showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Numan Ulutay in the 16th minute of the match. Yaşar Nuri Talha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Birdal Yöner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yaşar Nuri Talha got free with Birdal Yöner in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Yaşar Nuri Talha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gökmen Tüzün took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gürbüz Baykutay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atalan Şahin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökmen Tüzün having to interfere. Gökmen Tüzün showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gürbüz Baykutay in the 46th minute of the match. Mustafa Numan Ulutay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökmen Tüzün having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yaşar Nuri Talha to make the kick off. Gökmen Tüzün showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürbüz Baykutay, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Şehzade Kürşat charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Şehzade Kürşat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Şehzade Kürşat hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Berker Rıza Masuk's late challenge caught a Wahsetspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Berker Rıza Masuk helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th match minute, Besiktas JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berker Rıza Masuk to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute of the match, Aktuğ Tanju got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gökmen Tüzün was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gökmen Tüzün made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gürbüz Baykutay in the 70th minute of play. If Gürbüz Baykutay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. Birdal Yöner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yaşar Nuri Talha, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Yaşar Nuri Talha took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Birdal Yöner. Birdal Yöner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Yaşar Nuri Talha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wahsetspor's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
