Iverinn FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatasaray the free kick. Ümit Baysoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karhan Çırak in the 25th minute of play. Kılıçhan Akansel charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kılıçhan Akansel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Zühtü Sargan fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galatasaray's protests and gave Zühtü Sargan a yellow card for diving instead. Mehmet Emrah Zakir shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After 34 minutes, Cevat Ünsev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galatasaray and the Iverinn FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cevat Ünsev to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the game, Ömür Yasık was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galatasaray's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iverinn FC the free kick. After 38 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Ömür Yasık. If Yusuf Ziya Taş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Özmen Tankut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ümit Baysoy having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Karhan Çırak made the kick off in the second half. Barlas Sabri kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. 52 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's Yusuf Ziya Taş sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Batıkan Ferhat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 57 minutes in the game, Alemdar Atikoğlu dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The supporters of Iverinn FC booed when Galatasaray was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaan Aldemir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iverinn FC's Özmen Tankut got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Galatasaray's Ümit Baysoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karhan Çırak in the 91st minute of play. The Iverinn FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Galatasaray to win.
