Bornova's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abdulkadir Otaran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 11th minute Arif Bilge Üner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Süruri Özgeer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet Harun Uyun might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Süruri Özgeer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Harun Uyun ran back to his position shaking his head. After 15 minutes of play, ResulSAHIN FK's Ahmet Harun Uyun made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Süruri Özgeer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bornova's Süruri Özgeer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İshak İrfan in the 18th minute of play. Süruri Özgeer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İshak İrfan in the 20th minute of play. Süruri Özgeer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İshak İrfan in the 34th minute of the match. Ahmet Harun Uyun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Süruri Özgeer having to interfere. After some careless play in the Bornova defense, İshak İrfan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Süruri Özgeer. The Bornova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Süruri Özgeer should have stopped the shot. İshak İrfan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Süruri Özgeer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 48 minutes, Ahmet Harun Uyun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ResulSAHIN FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Harun Uyun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half ResulSAHIN FK were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by İshak İrfan in the 54th minute of play forced Bornova's goalkeeper Süruri Özgeer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karahan Boğataş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ResulSAHIN FK's İshak İrfan got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ResulSAHIN FK's Doğukan Yılhan suffered a fractured collar bone after 62 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Karahan Boğataş fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bornova's protests and gave Karahan Boğataş a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd match minute, Bornova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karahan Boğataş to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Süruri Özgeer managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when ResulSAHIN FK's Ahmet Harun Uyun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 71 minutes into the game, Bornova's Tuncer Devan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hacı Samih made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Ahmet Harun Uyun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Süruri Özgeer having to interfere. Bornova's Süruri Özgeer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Bornova from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ResulSAHIN FK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
