But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abay Hürsev couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute, Işıkalp Uyarel made a precise shot to the right of Süruri Özgeer. Bornova's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 18 minutes into the game, Gökçen Ballı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bornova's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CypraG FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bornova's Tuncer Devan got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Karahan Boğataş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Haşim Osman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Babür Pozan charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Babür Pozan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd minute, Babür Pozan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Süruri Özgeer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lokman Kemal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Babür Pozan might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Süruri Özgeer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Babür Pozan ran back to his position shaking his head. Babür Pozan got his second yellow card in the match during the 42nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to CypraG FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Babür Pozan hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Lokman Kemal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bornova's zone, Lokman Kemal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Süruri Özgeer came out of the goal and Lokman Kemal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lokman Kemal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Süruri Özgeer having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tuncer Devan to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Bornova's zone, Lokman Kemal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Süruri Özgeer came out of the goal and Lokman Kemal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Braulio Aniel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Süruri Özgeer came out and tried to block the shot, but Braulio Aniel slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 54th minute. Braulio Aniel was extremely unlucky when he, in the 57th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 60th minute, Işıkalp Uyarel fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Lokman Kemal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 64 minutes, Braulio Aniel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CypraG FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braulio Aniel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karahan Boğataş made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by CypraG FC's Braulio Aniel. Süruri Özgeer made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Braulio Aniel sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Bornova's zone, Lokman Kemal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Süruri Özgeer came out of the goal and Lokman Kemal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Gökçen Ballı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bornova's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Lokman Kemal scored to the left of an out of position Süruri Özgeer, making the score, 0-4. After 76 minutes, Kıraç Öksal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bornova and the CypraG FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th match minute, Bornova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kıraç Öksal to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in CypraG FC's zone, Kıraç Öksal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haşim Osman came out of the goal and Kıraç Öksal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute, Braulio Aniel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Braulio Aniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CypraG FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
