An unexpectedly hard shot by Reşat Temizcan in the 45th minute of play forced Cal FK's goalkeeper Melih Cevdet İsrafil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Reşat Temizcan fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ALAPLI FC's protests and gave Reşat Temizcan a yellow card for diving instead.

After 54 played minutes Cal FK got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Çağrı Hicabi. Alemdar Keyhüsrev charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
