In the 3rd minute, Caglar's Yıldırım Taymaz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Tolunay Hicran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haşim Rakim in the 6th minute of play. Dinçer Gündeş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Bahattin Orcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bahattin Orcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yıldırım Taymaz in the 11th minute of play. Caglar's Tolunay Hicran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İlyas Uğuralp in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Koray Sökmener hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haşim Rakim struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Tolunay Hicran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alsancak. Tolunay Hicran came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Alsancak's İlyas Uğuralp. But to his dismay, İlyas Uğuralp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Yıldırım Taymaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caglar's supporters rose to their feet, but Yıldırım Taymaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bahattin Orcan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aykut Ongel charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aykut Ongel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Alsancak getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Aykut Ongel hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Caglar's zone, Haşim Rakim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tolunay Hicran came out of the goal and Haşim Rakim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İlyas Uğuralp in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tolunay Hicran saved Caglar from getting behind. Alsancak's Haşim Rakim got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Caglar's Selim Yükselir got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 46th minute, Uğuralp Tekcan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Tolunay Hicran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 53 minutes into the match, Caglar's goal looked a bit too open when Haşim Rakim came free, but Tolunay Hicran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bahattin Orcan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yıldırım Taymaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Yıldırım Taymaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caglar's Tolunay Hicran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Caglar from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Caglar's Çağrı Uygu got a free kick in the 66th minute. Tolunay Hicran was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Haşim Rakim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Haşim Rakim really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Dinçer Gündeş might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bahattin Orcan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dinçer Gündeş ran back to his position shaking his head. 74 minutes into the game, Vecdi Zişan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alsancak's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caglar the free kick. After a rather tough play, Alsancak's Vecdi Zişan got a free kick in the 74th minute. Alsancak's Bahattin Orcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yıldırım Taymaz in the 80th minute of play. Haşim Rakim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haşim Rakim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Koray Sökmener's late challenge caught a Alsancak's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Koray Sökmener helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, Caglar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Koray Sökmener to maneuver through the defense. Dinçer Gündeş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahattin Orcan having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Alsancak fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 97th minute. Penalty! The Caglar supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Alsancak's performance. The match ended with a win for Alsancak.
