The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Özal Onatkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şinasi Oğuz in the 4th minute of play. 4 minutes into the game, Fethi Şam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Büyükada FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BEŞİKTAŞ JK İSTANBUL the free kick. After 5 played minutes Büyükada FK got a freekick which was hit by Fethi Şam. 7 minutes into the match, Büyükada FK's goalkeeper Özal Onatkan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebati Tekdoğan. When Abidin Şahabeddin fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BEŞİKTAŞ JK İSTANBUL's protests and gave Abidin Şahabeddin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Abidin Şahabeddin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abidin Şahabeddins short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Özal Onatkan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 18th match minute, BEŞİKTAŞ JK İSTANBUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Batu Rızkullah to maneuver through the defense. Levent Tamay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ahmet Fikret Şahinalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kudret Kutcan fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. When Sebati Tekdoğan came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the BEŞİKTAŞ JK İSTANBUL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebati Tekdoğan couldn't finish the play. If Şinasi Oğuz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Özal Onatkan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebati Tekdoğan in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute, Şinasi Oğuz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Özal Onatkan. The goal made the score 1-0. When Şinasi Oğuz came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the BEŞİKTAŞ JK İSTANBUL fans jumped to their feet. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, İlhami İncel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Büyükada FK's supporters rose to their feet, but İlhami İncel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Fikret Şahinalp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. İlhami İncel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ahmet Fikret Şahinalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Şinasi Oğuz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Sebati Tekdoğan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Özal Onatkan. Büyükada FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebati Tekdoğan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Atacan Aköz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 57 minutes into the match. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for BEŞİKTAŞ JK İSTANBUL! After 63 minutes, Ertuğrul Okkan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BEŞİKTAŞ JK İSTANBUL and the Büyükada FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Büyükada FK booed when BEŞİKTAŞ JK İSTANBUL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ertuğrul Okkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th match minute, BEŞİKTAŞ JK İSTANBUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abidin Şahabeddin to maneuver through the defense. Şanver Uluerkan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ahmet Fikret Şahinalp. BEŞİKTAŞ JK İSTANBUL's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Büyükada FK were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after BEŞİKTAŞ JK İSTANBUL's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Şanver Uluerkan took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İlhami İncel in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Fikret Şahinalp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, İlhami İncel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Büyükada FK's supporters rose to their feet, but İlhami İncel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebati Tekdoğan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. BEŞİKTAŞ JK İSTANBUL's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
