A collision led to Torul JK getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Hakkı Devrim Muharrem hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Aykutalp Atasan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karagümrük's supporters rose to their feet, but Aykutalp Atasan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Işık Ahıska breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Derman Demircan's late challenge caught a Torul JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Derman Demircan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Karagümrük's Derman Demircan got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Hakkı Devrim Muharrem hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Abdullah Aşkıner was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 30th match minute, Torul JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hakkı Devrim Muharrem to maneuver through the defense. Abdullah Aşkıner, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 47 played minutes Karagümrük got a freekick which was hit by Müfit Tugay. The Torul JK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Karagümrük were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rıfkı Tekke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Hakkı Devrim Muharrem came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Torul JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hakkı Devrim Muharrem couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rıfkı Tekke in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Işık Ahıska prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nuralp Tetiker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bayındır Mehmet Temizcan having to interfere. Karagümrük's Rıfkı Tekke got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Işık Ahıska made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Aykutalp Atasan sent off a good shot on target. Rıfkı Tekke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rıfkı Tekke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Aykutalp Atasan managed to get in a good position for a shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aykutalp Atasan got free with Işık Ahıska in the 100th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Karagümrük's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
