Samrik F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferit Tuğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emirşah Omural didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Uğuralp Nafi went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 72nd minute Osman Ali Oskay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emirşah Omural saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in GaLaTaSaRaY's zone, Özer İçöz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hakkı İstikbal came out of the goal and Özer İçöz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. GaLaTaSaRaY's Uğuralp Nafi got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th match minute, Samrik F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aytunç Renan to maneuver through the defense.
