When Suat Seylan came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Gamblers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Suat Seylan couldn't finish the play. Mürsel Sayraç stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramiz Şanlı's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Suat Seylan notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Besiktask's Tibet Akçasu. Tibet Akçasu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mehmet Ediz Yalçın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Tibet Akçasu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramiz Şanlı was the one to do the kick off. Besiktask's Ramiz Şanlı got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 53rd minute, Vatan Boztepe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute Ramiz Şanlı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mürsel Sayraç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tibet Akçasu made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Mehmet Ediz Yalçın sent off a good shot on target. Onur Arpacı kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gamblers's Ercüment Han got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute Çağrı Mustafali shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mürsel Sayraç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Mehmet Ediz Yalçın fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tibet Akçasu, passed just outside the right post. Tibet Akçasu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Suat Seylan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Besiktask's Çağrı Mustafali sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mürsel Sayraç narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ramiz Şanlı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vatan Boztepe kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Çağrı Mustafali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramiz Şanlı in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mürsel Sayraç saved Gamblers from getting behind. When Çağrı Mustafali fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Besiktask's protests and gave Çağrı Mustafali a yellow card for diving instead. Çağrı Mustafali hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Tibet Akçasu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mehmet Ediz Yalçın went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Suat Seylan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tibet Akçasu having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mehmet Ediz Yalçın got free with Tibet Akçasu in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mehmet Ediz Yalçın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 played minutes Besiktask got a freekick which was hit by Onur Arpacı. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gamblers walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
