Hayrullah Titiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 3 minutes into the match, Songur Gümüş notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Giresunspor's Hamza Gözlem. Hamza Gözlem was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Şerif Seyhun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Çelebi Akoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Şerif Seyhun came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Giresunspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Şerif Seyhun couldn't finish the play. Hayrullah Titiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hozat's Çelebi Akoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fahrettin Çiftçioğlu in the 23rd minute of play. Kutalp Akçakoca hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Hozat's goalkeeper Çelebi Akoğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Şerif Seyhun. Çelebi Akoğlu made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Şerif Seyhun sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the game, Songur Gümüş cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Hamza Gözlem was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fahrettin Çiftçioğlu struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Çelebi Akoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Giresunspor. Hayrullah Titiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hamza Gözlem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hayrullah Titiz ran back to his position shaking his head. Çelebi Akoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fahrettin Çiftçioğlu in the 45th minute of play. If Fahrettin Çiftçioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

In the 56th minute Songur Gümüş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamza Gözlem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Çelebi Akoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fahrettin Çiftçioğlu in the 58th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Songur Gümüş took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Hamza Gözlem to make any attempt to save it. Giresunspor's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Songur Gümüş 65 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. Şerif Seyhun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hayrullah Titiz charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hayrullah Titiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Hozat getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Hayrullah Titiz hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Hozat's Mithat Keyhüsrev got a free kick in the 78th minute. If Şerif Seyhun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hozat walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
