Ercüment Derdiyok hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the match, Merinos's Behçet Suyurgal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Meriç Özel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Hafiz Yücel to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Behçet Suyurgal in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Meriç Özel saved Allein Sterben from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yusuf Ziya Selçuk in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Meriç Özel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nejat Acunman was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Kamuran Nurbaki capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kamuran Nurbaki really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. If Behçet Suyurgal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 83 minutes, Yusuf Ziya Selçuk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merinos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yusuf Ziya Selçuk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute Behçet Suyurgal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meriç Özel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Behçet Suyurgal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yusuf Ziya Selçuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meriç Özel having to interfere. Nejat Acunman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orkun Canaydin went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score.
