Necip Özver got in the 26th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Müfit Tüzel handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Merih Özgiray was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yıldırım Altıncı to make the kick off.
