The audience thought a goal was coming when Vahit Akdoruk got free with Sertaç Kurman in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Pülümür's Köksal Keçili in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Galatasaray SK's goalie prevented a goal. İlkan Ergüven charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed İlkan Ergüven the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray SK's İlkan Ergüven got a free kick in the 15th minute. Pülümür's Köksal Keçili couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Galatasaray SK. Köksal Keçili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Volkan Tanyeli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Köksal Keçili notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Galatasaray SK's Batuğ Aktürk. Batuğ Aktürk was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Köksal Keçili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bekir Muhtar kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Pülümür's Sertaç Kurman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birdal Pekdemir in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Köksal Keçili in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Batuğ Aktürk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Galatasaray SK's Vahit Akdoruk slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sertaç Kurman. That made the score 1-1 after 42 minutes of play. In the 44th minute, Güvenç Üster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Pülümür booed when Galatasaray SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atalan Zeyni didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Pülümür's goal looked a bit too open when Birdal Pekdemir came free, but Sertaç Kurman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th match minute, Galatasaray SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İlkan Ergüven to maneuver through the defense. Batuğ Aktürk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Köksal Keçili's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vahit Akdoruk in the 61st minute of play forced Pülümür's goalkeeper Sertaç Kurman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mustafa Barış Arabacı kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Sertaç Kurman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuh Akburç in the 66th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iwo Oborski in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Batuğ Aktürk saved Galatasaray SK from getting behind. Köksal Keçili struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Batuğ Aktürk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pülümür. Köksal Keçili scored 1-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Batuğ Aktürk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute, Bora Han Eraksan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, Pülümür's Köksal Keçili sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Batuğ Aktürk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th minute Köksal Keçili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Batuğ Aktürk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mehmet Emrah Özerk lost his temper 81 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Mehmet Emrah Özerk kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Sertaç Kurman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birdal Pekdemir in the 88th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Pülümür players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
