The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dilmen Uzel during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kiraz's Özalp Cerme got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Kiraz's goal looked a bit too open when Neşat Barbaros came free, but Kasım Sipahi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adnan Emekli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özalp Cerme in the 29th minute of the match. Rıza Uluçs short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Kasım Sipahi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sancarbey Malik struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Adnan Emekli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kiraz. Ardahan Semdin hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. When Özalp Cerme came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Kiraz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Özalp Cerme couldn't finish the play. In the 71st match minute, Korkmazcity was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ecevit Orbay to maneuver through the defense. Neşat Barbaros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Kiraz booed when Korkmazcity was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiraz's supporters rose to their feet, but Özalp Cerme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adnan Emekli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Özalp Cerme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Korkmazcity defense, Özalp Cerme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adnan Emekli. The Korkmazcity fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adnan Emekli should have stopped the shot.
