The referee ignored Gökceada's protests and gave Giray İzhan a yellow card for diving instead. Giray İzhan hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The supporters of Gökceada booed when Bayburt Spor FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mecnun Ünlü didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Ahmet Sedat Zafir sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bayburt Spor FC's Çakır Göktepe didn't even have to move. Mecnun Ünlü received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Nazil Durhal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nazil Durhal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kunter Samin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gökceada's goalkeeper Nazil Durhal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kunter Samin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nazil Durhal having to interfere. In the 49th minute, Giray İzhan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Çakır Göktepe. The goal made the score 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giray İzhan was the one to do the kick off. Kunter Samin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Nazil Durhal made a huge save. Taci Çinucen's late challenge caught a Bayburt Spor FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Taci Çinucen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute, Taci Çinucen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Çakır Göktepe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lütfullah Kamran, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Lütfullah Kamran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Çakır Göktepe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
