Kubat Gazzal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bektaş Ali Periz in the 4th minute of play. Sezai Canıtez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Orhan Kurban, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Mustafa Orhan Kurban managed to get in a good position for a shot. Waltospor FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mustafa Orhan Kurban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sezai Canıtez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bektaş Ali Periz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kubat Gazzal having to interfere. Demir Ceberut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 22 minutes, Refik Halit Taşdemir mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kelkit and the Waltospor FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Waltospor FC booed when Kelkit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Refik Halit Taşdemir didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bozkurt Hızlı during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Demir Ceberut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Kubat Gazzal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sancar Rıfkı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sezai Canıtez having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Bektaş Ali Periz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Kelkit were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Nebi Zevahir charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nebi Zevahir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 61 played minutes Waltospor FC got a freekick which was hit by Nebi Zevahir. In the 71st match minute, Kelkit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vahit Seyfi to maneuver through the defense. Bozkurt Hızlı recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kubat Gazzal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demir Ceberut, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 91 played minutes Waltospor FC got a freekick which was hit by Yıldıray Bostancı. Demir Ceberut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Kubat Gazzal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kelkit's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
