Reha Olgunsoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mümtazer Beyazit in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Atabey Şerhenk made a precise shot to the right of Bayram Saik. GALATASARAY's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 12th minute Lokman Turalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reha Olgunsoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, one of GALATASARAY:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for GALATASARAY. After 36 minutes, Ahmet Erdem Saygılı mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GALATASARAY and the SKC KARBON players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SKC KARBON booed when GALATASARAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Erdem Saygılı didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gazanfer Erbatur made a kick off. Reha Olgunsoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lokman Turalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, SKC KARBON's Mehmet Emin Karakan got a free kick in the 58th minute. GALATASARAY's Bayram Saik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save GALATASARAY from getting a goal against them. SKC KARBON's Reha Olgunsoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolga Ökmen in the 65th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of SKC KARBON:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of GALATASARAY:s goal. A collision led to SKC KARBON getting a freekick after 74 minutes play.
