Talas's Cenap Baykutay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berker Rıza Uygunel in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Talas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serdar Argün to maneuver through the defense. Mustafa Ali İleri hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 15 minutes, Ahmet Korcan Tunçkılıç mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Talas and the sifinspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes Talas got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Korcan Tunçkılıç. 25 minutes into the game, Numan Yükselir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. sifinspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Talas the free kick. After a rather tough play, sifinspor's Numan Yükselir got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 26 played minutes, Talas's Mustafa Ali İleri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bedir Keyhüsrev came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Talas reached it. The audience was convinced that Berker Rıza Uygunel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cenap Baykutay was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. With a little luck, Talas's Cenap Baykutay got control of the ball when Sakut Özbilek tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 42 played minutes sifinspor got a freekick which was hit by Osman Nuri Savaş. Talas's Ahmet Hakan Akel got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Numan Yükselir got his second yellow card in the match during the 52nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Talas booed when sifinspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Numan Yükselir didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Ahmet Hakan Akel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bedir Keyhüsrev. Ahmet Hakan Akel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. If Ahmet Hakan Akel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in sifinspor's zone, Hüseyin Cahit Kırca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bedir Keyhüsrev came out of the goal and Hüseyin Cahit Kırca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Sakut Özbilek managed to get in a good position for a shot. sifinspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Sakut Özbilek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cenap Baykutay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cenap Baykutay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Kaan Cihanmert in the 70th minute of play. Sakut Özbilek struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Cenap Baykutay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for sifinspor. If Berker Rıza Uygunel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ali Galip Özdil in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bedir Keyhüsrev saved sifinspor from getting behind. In the 76th match minute, sifinspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rüstem Şabi to maneuver through the defense. When Talas's Serdar Argün in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye sifinspor's goalie prevented a goal. sifinspor's Sakut Özbilek got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 81 played minutes sifinspor got a freekick which was hit by Abdurrahman Aktaşoğlu. After 86 played minutes sifinspor got a freekick which was hit by Berker Rıza Uygunel. Sakut Özbilek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 played minutes Talas got a freekick which was hit by Hüseyin Cahit Kırca. After a defensive mix-up in Talas's zone, Sakut Özbilek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cenap Baykutay came out of the goal and Sakut Özbilek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Talas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
