The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. İlbey Dolunay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azmi Zahir in the 4th minute of play. Tuncer Oğuztan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krzysztof Kasprzak in the 5th minute of the match. AY YILDIZ's İlbey Dolunay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Azmi Zahir in the 7th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, AY YILDIZ's goal looked a bit too open when Azmi Zahir came free, but İlbey Dolunay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. László Beneš fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuncer Oğuztan having to interfere. In the 20th minute Azmi Zahir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İlbey Dolunay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Gölbasi's zone, László Beneš stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tuncer Oğuztan came out of the goal and László Beneš tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes in the game Muhsin Okyay did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Vahit Tunçbilek. AY YILDIZ's İlbey Dolunay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vahit Tunçbilek in the 27th minute of play. İlbey Dolunay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vahit Tunçbilek in the 28th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yuri Postalkov got free with Tuncer Oğuztan in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Yuri Postalkov came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the AY YILDIZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yuri Postalkov couldn't finish the play. Gölbasi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Yuri Postalkov scored to the left of an out of position Tuncer Oğuztan, making the score, 1-1. Yuri Postalkov struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Tuncer Oğuztan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AY YILDIZ. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Seyrani Cansoy to strike the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Gölbasi's İlbey Dolunay threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Seyrani Cansoy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tuncer Oğuztan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuri Postalkov in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Vahit Tunçbilek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. İlbey Dolunay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seyrani Cansoy in the 62nd minute of the match. With a little luck, AY YILDIZ's İlbey Dolunay got control of the ball when Vahit Tunçbilek tried to sneak it across the goal line. Buğrahan Adaş made in the 65th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Seyrani Cansoy. AY YILDIZ's İlbey Dolunay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save AY YILDIZ from getting a goal against them. İlbey Dolunay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seyrani Cansoy in the 71st minute of the match. Gölbasi's Tuncer Oğuztan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri Postalkov in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seyrani Cansoy in the 74th minute of play forced AY YILDIZ's goalkeeper İlbey Dolunay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Gölbasi's Rahman Sabit nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. İlbey Dolunay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Yuri Postalkov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tuncer Oğuztan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. In the 87th minute, AY YILDIZ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Seyrani Cansoy fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. AY YILDIZ's László Beneš quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Buğrahan Adaş, made in the 91st minute of the game. The AY YILDIZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gölbasi were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
