In the 5th minute Asrın Şerif shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reşit Işıker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reşit Işıker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asrın Şerif in the 7th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, MASLAK SK's goal looked a bit too open when Asrın Şerif came free, but Reşit Işıker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hikmet Oksay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reşit Işıker came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Vardar's Vahdet Cinel. But to his dismay, Vahdet Cinel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Macit Sargın fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MASLAK SK's protests and gave Macit Sargın a yellow card for diving instead. Macit Sargın kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Reşit Işıker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vahdet Cinel in the 26th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Ziya Mecnun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th minute, Ferit Paksoy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Vardar's Yusuf Akhan got a free kick in the 38th minute. Vahdet Cinel might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reşit Işıker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vahdet Cinel ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vahdet Cinel in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reşit Işıker saved MASLAK SK from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Ziya Mecnun made the kick off in the second half. Mustafa Haydar Yürüker kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the MASLAK SK defense, Vahdet Cinel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reşit Işıker. The MASLAK SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reşit Işıker should have stopped the shot. Peker Altuncuoğlu charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peker Altuncuoğlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vardar getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Peker Altuncuoğlu hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Macit Sargın had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aycan Yorgun. Vardar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Macit Sargın was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Asrın Şerif got free with Reşit Işıker in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Asrın Şerif might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reşit Işıker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Asrın Şerif ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, MASLAK SK's Reşit Işıker got control of the ball when Asrın Şerif tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aycan Yorgun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferit Paksoy's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Korkut Pekşen hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Korkutalp Hacıbeyoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MASLAK SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Korkutalp Hacıbeyoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th match minute, Vardar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Muharrem Türev to maneuver through the defense. When Vardar's Vahdet Cinel in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MASLAK SK's goalie prevented a goal. The Vardar players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
