Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enginsu Akkılıç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ali Cafer Işın hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enginsu Akkılıç in the 12th minute of play forced Selamicesme's goalkeeper Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enginsu Akkılıç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu having to interfere. 17 minutes into the game, Gökçen Peyam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Selamicesme's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fenerbahçe S.K. the free kick. Gökçen Peyam hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Emirşah Balıkçıoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu having to interfere. Selamicesme's Gökçen Peyam got his second yellow card of the match in the 24th minute. The referee ordered Gökçen Peyam off the ground. Gökçen Peyam kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Enginsu Akkılıç received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu came out and tried to block the shot, but Enginsu Akkılıç slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 27th minute. Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Enginsu Akkılıç showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Selamicesme's goal looked a bit too open when Umur Zeynel came free, but Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enginsu Akkılıç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu having to interfere. Tuncay Acunalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enginsu Akkılıç blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Selamicesme's zone, Enginsu Akkılıç stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu came out of the goal and Enginsu Akkılıç tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Enginsu Akkılıç kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu. That made the score 3-0 in the 48 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Fenerbahçe S.K.'s Enginsu Akkılıç got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Enginsu Akkılıç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Enginsu Akkılıç came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Fenerbahçe S.K. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enginsu Akkılıç couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Selamicesme getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Tanju Özerdim hit a great ball. If Enginsu Akkılıç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enginsu Akkılıç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enginsu Akkılıç's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. A collision led to Selamicesme getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Tarık Orun hit a great ball. Emirşah Balıkçıoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu having to interfere. Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enginsu Akkılıç in the 75th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Selamicesme's goal looked a bit too open when Enginsu Akkılıç came free, but Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 played minutes Selamicesme got a freekick which was hit by Tanju Özerdim. Enginsu Akkılıç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 minutes, Tanju Özerdim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Selamicesme and the Fenerbahçe S.K. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th match minute, Selamicesme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tanju Özerdim to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see Fenerbahçe S.K.'s Tuncay Acunalp in action when he in the 91st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Enginsu Akkılıç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Selamicesme's goalkeeper Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Enginsu Akkılıç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ertuğrul Serdaroğlu having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Fenerbahçe S.K. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
