Gani Özaktuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mutlu Emir in the 5th minute of the match. In the 7th minute Korkuteli JK were awarded a corner. Hüsmen Aker went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Korkuteli JK's Hüsmen Aker to fire away a dangerous shot which Gani Özaktuğ despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tuna Lokman charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tuna Lokman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Korkuteli JK getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Tuna Lokman hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the game, Özer Karanalp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Korkuteli JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zonguldak SK the free kick. After 15 played minutes Korkuteli JK got a freekick which was hit by Özer Karanalp. Gani Özaktuğ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emran Özgenay, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Gani Özaktuğ stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mutlu Emir's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute, Tuna Lokman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience cheered loudly when Şimşek Otay's long shot in the 26th minute became 1-0 when the ball went to the left of and passed Abuzer Özgun. When Saltuk Yerhum fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Korkuteli JK's protests and gave Saltuk Yerhum a yellow card for diving instead. Saltuk Yerhum kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Hüseyin Cahit Candemir was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. Zonguldak SK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 39th minute, Tuna Lokman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hüseyin Cahit Candemir to make the kick off. Gani Özaktuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mutlu Emir in the 54th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Zonguldak SK's goal looked a bit too open when Mutlu Emir came free, but Gani Özaktuğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abuzer Özgun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şimşek Otay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hüseyin Cahit Candemir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abuzer Özgun having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Hüseyin Cahit Candemir ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abuzer Özgun was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Gani Özaktuğ made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Gencalp Revnak sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Zonguldak SK booed when Korkuteli JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saltuk Yerhum didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Gani Özaktuğ managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Korkuteli JK's Gencalp Revnak fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 87th minute, Gencalp Revnak made a precise shot to the right of Gani Özaktuğ. Zonguldak SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Mutlu Emir kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Dinçer İçten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Abuzer Özgun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gencalp Revnak got free with Gani Özaktuğ in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Gencalp Revnak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
