Zonguldak SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oguzlar SK the free kick. A collision led to Zonguldak SK getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Melih Cevdet Ceri hit a great ball. Gani Özaktuğ made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arif Buğra Behzat in the 8th minute. Aytekin Ruşeni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hüseyin Cahit Candemir, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After having played for 19 minutes, Çelebi Cemşit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oguzlar SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Çelebi Cemşit was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Çelebi Cemşit blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gani Özaktuğ having to make a save. After having played for 26 minutes, Çelebi Cemşit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oguzlar SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Çelebi Cemşit was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Oguzlar SK reached it. Melih Cevdet Ceri took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aytekin Ruşeni. Aytekin Ruşeni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Zonguldak SK's Gani Özaktuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Buğra Behzat in the 46th minute of play. Çelebi Cemşit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Zonguldak SK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hüseyin Cahit Candemir made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Metin Metehan in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gani Özaktuğ saved Zonguldak SK from getting behind. Metin Metehan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute Metin Metehan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gani Özaktuğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Çelebi Cemşit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute of the game Lütfi Özdoa made a throw-in which Arif Buğra Behzat played forward. When Arif Buğra Behzat came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Oguzlar SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arif Buğra Behzat couldn't finish the play. Aytekin Ruşeni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dinçer İçten in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute, Metin Metehan made a precise shot to the right of Gani Özaktuğ. Zonguldak SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Çelebi Cemşit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gani Özaktuğ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Zonguldak SK's zone, Arif Buğra Behzat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gani Özaktuğ came out of the goal and Arif Buğra Behzat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 77 played minutes Zonguldak SK got a freekick which was hit by Melih Cevdet Ceri. Aytekin Ruşeni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hüseyin Cahit Candemir, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Zonguldak SK's goalkeeper Gani Özaktuğ, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 83 played minutes Melih Cevdet Ceri rounded Oguzlar SK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Oguzlar SK's Aytekin Ruşeni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hüseyin Cahit Candemir in the 92nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Çelebi Cemşit in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gani Özaktuğ prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Zonguldak SK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
