An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinç Yakup in the 10th minute of play forced Köprüköy's goalkeeper İshak Tulun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Mehmet Şefik Batırhan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Karakoyunlu JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Köprüköy the free kick. In the 11th minute, Mehmet Şefik Batırhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Köprüköy's Gökcan Sonay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Şansal Bala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Songurhan Tuncaral's late challenge caught a Karakoyunlu JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Songurhan Tuncaral helped the player get up and apologised. Songurhan Tuncaral kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. When Sezen Urza fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Köprüköy's protests and gave Sezen Urza a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Köprüköy getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Sezen Urza hit a great ball. Gökcan Sonays short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Şansal Bala to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Atahan Başbuğ hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Köprüköy's İshak Tulun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinç Yakup in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, one of Köprüköy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. İshak Tulun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dinç Yakup went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gökcan Sonay to make the kick off. Mehmet Şefik Batırhan struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. İshak Tulun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karakoyunlu JK. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mehmet Şefik Batırhan got free with İshak Tulun in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mehmet Şefik Batırhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Bedih Taçyıldız hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Köprüköy's Gökcan Sonay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Şansal Bala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Şansal Bala came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Köprüköy's Güven Akpolat. But to his dismay, Güven Akpolat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Mehmet Şefik Batırhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İshak Tulun having to interfere. If Dinç Yakup had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Güven Akpolat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Köprüköy's supporters rose to their feet, but Güven Akpolat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şansal Bala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
