After some careless play in the ßeşiktaş defense, Gökcan Sonay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Can Kudret. The ßeşiktaş fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Can Kudret should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peker Kamber stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Güven Akpolat got free with Can Kudret in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ßeşiktaş were furious when Ali Emir Hatim was red carded, 53 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Köprüköy booed when ßeşiktaş was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Altan Suha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute Gökcan Sonay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Can Kudret saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Güven Akpolat came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Köprüköy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Güven Akpolat couldn't finish the play.
